Honeymoon'n it up! FINALLY!!!

So to say it has been a long time since I last updated would be a severe understatement. However I'm happy to report that so many wonderful things have happened in that time. Most important would definitely be the fact that I'm now a married man and loving it completely! :) Also I received a promotion at a job I returned to in December. I'm now an assistant manager at Rebelbooks. It's so much fun and I really love working with the staff there. And of course there's our honeymoon which we were just able to go on which is one of the main reasons for this post and update.

Thanks to a fabulous tax return from the government Shari and I got our honeymoon 6 months after the fact. Better late than never! We ended up having so much fun it was extremely difficult to return to reality. Our adventure started out at 2:00am on Monday the 21st of June 2010. We headed off for LA so as to economize on the tickets we had for the parks. We arrived not too long after the park opened and hit up Space Mountain first thing. I think we even did it twice while the lines were short if I remember correctly. We made good use of the fast passes to get as many rides in as possible. Mid day we left the park for a few hours to find ourselves some food and to get checked into the hotel, Ayres Inn. Then it was back to the park for more action.

This trend continued for the next three days. We enjoyed many different sights and experiences such as new rides like California's Screaming', Soarin', Grizzly Rapids, and several shows. We also saw Disney's Firework Show, Parade, and Fantasmic (<-- AWEsome!). We rode a million rides (probably in part thanks to our cute little "Just Married" buttons we got the first day). And of course there was the food: corn dogs, mickey mouse ice cream, churros, and citrus chicken. :)

Oh! I almost forgot to mention that for the first time ever in an amusement park I got rejected. I was told that I couldn't ride the ride because I was too TALL!!! Yup too tall... I've heard of people being too short but not being too tall to ride a ride. The bar wouldn't go over my knees far enough so they sent us away. However, we did get a free pass so that we could get on any ride we wanted (almost) without having to wait in line! It was way worth the time spent in the failed ride!

Overall it was a blast. We'll definitely have been left wanting to plan trips to explore places and make many more memories for ourselves and hopefully our family too! :)
